TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. – The state of Michigan plans to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars into a new smart parking test lab at a garage in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood.
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced the Detroit Smart Parking Lab collaboration Thursday at the CAR Management Briefing Seminars here in partnership with Ford Motor Co., supplier Bosch and commercial real estate company Bedrock.
The lab opens in September and expands on demonstrations launched last year by the three companies.
