Genesis will offer two well-equipped trim levels of its 2023 Electrified GV70 for under $80,000 when it goes on sale early this year.
Buyers who fall under certain income requirements can take advantage of the federal $7,500 tax credit, making pricing of the premium electric vehicle more competitive.
The compact crossover will be offered in Advanced and Prestige trim levels, both configured in an all-wheel-drive layout with a 160-kilowatt motor in front and a 160-kW motor at the rear powered by a 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery.
Genesis has not yet released the EV's battery range, but when it was revealed ahead of the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show in November, officials estimated it would be close to 250 miles.
That would be in the range of its GV60 stablemate, which, when equipped with the Advanced package, has a range of 246 miles. The Performance GV60 offers 235 miles of range.
