TO THE EDITOR:
After reading "How Bentley salvaged a disaster after 189 cars sank to the bottom of the sea" (autonews.com, Oct. 9), I applaud Bentley and their dealers on the handling of this unique situation.
As a third-generation dealer-operator, and distributor, it was evident this event was handled with extreme care from the Bentley distributor/dealer side. I was personally impacted, with a 12-cylinder Flying Spur aboard the Felicity Ace, and Bentley worked with me to provide a solution. I was offered a brand-new 2023 or a replacement 2022 vehicle immediately. Not knowing if Bentley's 12-cylinder production would continue, I chose the 2022.
Bentley and its dealers were professional throughout this entire process. It is truly a lesson in crisis management that should be commended. My vehicle is in, and I'll pick it up ASAP.
